Autonomous Collector demo1:26
The collector

The longest I can set a plan up for is six months, so $65 a fortnight is as low as I can go — or $50 a week if that sits better with your pay.

Agent Thanks, that's everything verified. So the arrangement on the account slipped a couple of weeks back, and there's $850 owing. Are you in a spot to sort something out today?

Customer Not really. My money's really tight, I don't think I can do the whole thing.

Agent That's alright, we can break it into smaller chunks. When do you usually get paid?

Customer I normally get paid every fortnight — Thursday.

Agent Right, so this Thursday coming up?

Customer It's actually next week.

Agent No worries, so a fortnight from now. How much could you put towards it this week, even if it's just something small?

Customer Yeah, it's really tight at the moment. Maybe $50?

Agent Yep, $50 this week works. So that's $50 today, then $100 a fortnight starting next Thursday. That'll clear it in about four months — sound fair?

Customer That's too much. Can we do smaller amounts?

Agent The longest I can set a plan up for is six months, so $65 a fortnight is as low as I can go — or $50 a week if that sits better with your pay.

Customer Let's go with $65 then.

Agent Good one. So that's $50 today, then $65 a fortnight starting next Thursday, all done in six months. I'll text you a secure payment link for the $50, and the full schedule will come through in writing. All sorted — take care.

Start with the customer

An unpaid account does not tell you why.

Some people want a simpler way to pay. Others have a question, need more time or want to speak with someone. Collection technology should help your team respond to those circumstances, not put every customer through the same process.

Digital resolution

A simple way to settle.

For someone ready to resolve an account, a secure payment link can be enough. They do not need to take a call.

Autonomous Collector

A conversation within agreed terms.

Voice AI can discuss eligible accounts and offer payment options within your policies. Customers can ask for a person at any point.

Agent Assist

Your people, supported.

When a customer wants a person or needs specialist support, your collectors lead the conversation with live guidance and help with call notes.

Quality Assurance

A shared standard for human and AI calls.

QA checks captured conversations against your scorecard, with evidence your reviewers can use for coaching and improvement. The channels and handoffs are configured for each deployment.

Where autonomous capacity helps

Give more accounts the attention they need.

Your team has limited time. Making suitable conversations more affordable lets you reach accounts that would otherwise sit untouched, understand the customer’s circumstances and offer a way forward.

Reach underworked accounts

Small-balance, aged and previously worked accounts can miss out on attention. Start with an allocation your team cannot economically reach.

Agree the tasks

Choose the contact, conversation and follow-up work suitable for automation. Your team sets the permitted options and where a person needs to take over.

Measure more than activity

Agree what success means for the segment, including collection outcomes, conversation quality and whether customers reach the help they need.

Fits your operation

Keep the context with the account.

OpenDebt connects with the systems your team uses. Account context informs the conversation, and captured outcomes help the next person understand what has happened.

We agree the integrations, information shared and handoff process with you. When someone needs a person, the aim is to carry the relevant context across rather than make them start again.

Getting started

Start where your team needs support.

Lenders and collection agencies can use QA, Agent Assist or autonomous capacity according to their needs. There is no requirement to move from one product to another.

Start with the need

Better quality coverage, support for collectors or additional autonomous capacity. Choose the capabilities that address your operation's needs.

Agree how it will work

Define the tasks, systems, policies, customer choices and success measures. Your reviewers help calibrate the quality standard.

Review before expanding

For autonomous work, begin with supervised calls on a defined segment. Review outcomes and controls together before agreeing any expansion.

Working with OpenDebt

Your team decides what changes.

Technology should fit the work you need to do, not require a different operating model before you can benefit.

Are you a collection agency?

No. OpenDebt is a collection technology provider to lenders and agencies. Our technology works within the scope and policies agreed with your organisation. You retain your client relationships and authority over account treatment.

Are Quality Assurance and Agent Assist still part of OpenDebt?

Yes. QA and Agent Assist support collection professionals today and remain part of our offering alongside Autonomous Collector. Using them does not require you to move to autonomous collection.

Does autonomous collection mean replacing our team?

Our focus is adding capacity and improving the customer experience. You decide which tasks are suitable for automation and which stay with your people. Customers can ask for a person, and your team retains oversight of the agreed autonomous scope.

Do we need to introduce all three products?

No. We agree the capabilities and integrations around your needs. A QA or Agent Assist engagement does not have to become an autonomous deployment.

Where does your team need more capacity?

Tell us about the accounts, conversations or quality work you want to improve. We’ll explore a practical starting point together.
